We at PAVE believe that community education is the key to violence prevention. We also understand that when prevention is not enough, survivors need timely, concrete support services. This is why our shelter and crisis hotline remained fully functioning throughout the COVID pandemic.
Helena* recently contacted PAVE. Helena shared that her partner had hit her in front of their child. She remembered what she had learned from a PAVE education campaign and knew that the abuse would continue or even escalate. She knew what to do, called the police, and reached out to PAVE for support. Helena's story had a better outcome because of both community education and access to timely services.
Our ability to offer a diverse range of prevention and support services rests on the support of donors like you.
